How to Use BUG Clicker in OBS (Stream Your Desktop Pet)
Show your BUG Clicker character on stream: turn on the broadcast background, capture it with OBS Window Capture and remove the color with Color Key.

BUG Clicker has a mode made for OBS. It puts a solid color behind the character so OBS can capture only the character and key the color out (checked against BUG Clicker 1.18.5 for Windows).
Set it up
- In BUG Clicker: right-click the character, open Capture mode, and turn on Broadcast background (OBS). A solid color fills the area behind the character. You can pick the color.
- In OBS: add a Window Capture source. Pick the window named "BUG Clicker · character name". While the broadcast background is on, the character also shows in the taskbar, so it appears in the window list (added in 1.18.3).
- Remove the color: right-click the source in OBS, choose Filters, add Color Key, and set it to the same color.
When you finish streaming, go back to Capture mode and choose Off (transparent).
The character does not appear in OBS
- Update BUG Clicker. Characters became selectable in Window Capture in version 1.18.3 (October 27, 2026).
- Check the window list again after turning on the broadcast background. The window only shows there while it is on.
- Try another capture method. In the Window Capture properties, OBS offers more than one Capture Method. If one shows a blank or black area, switch to another and check again.
- Character looks black: the app's built-in FAQ has an entry for this. Open Settings → About → FAQ.
Want a clip instead of a live stream?
Use Capture mode → Capture to save a PNG photo or a 3 or 5 second GIF, with a transparent background if you like. Click characters on the desktop to choose who is in the shot.
Are you allowed to stream someone else's character?
Creators can say whether streaming and video are allowed when they export a .cvclk. The terms show when you import it. Follow them, and credit the creator.
