BUG Clicker Character Disappeared or Not Showing (Fix)
Bring a lost BUG Clicker character back on screen, show one you just imported, keep it in front of other windows and fix a missing speech bubble.

Characters can slip off screen after you unplug a monitor, hide behind other windows, or simply not be switched on after you import them. Here is how to get each one back (checked against BUG Clicker 1.18.5 for Windows).
It went off screen or I lost it
- Click the BUG Clicker icon in the tray (the ^ next to the clock), then Gather all in one spot. Every open character moves to the screen your mouse is on.
- Or open Settings → Characters and press Bring back on screen.
It keeps hiding behind other windows
Right-click the character and turn on Always on top (the pushpin stands upright and shows a green dot). If you switched to the radial right-click menu, it is the first of the six round buttons.
Characters come back to the front every few seconds, even over games. They cannot appear over a game running in exclusive fullscreen. Switch the game to borderless or windowed mode if you want the character on top.
I imported a character but it is not on my desktop
Importing adds the character to your list but does not put it on screen by itself.
- Import it in Settings → Share → Import, by dropping the
.cvclkfile onto the box or using Choose file. - Open the tray menu, go to Show character and pick the new character.
Images in a received character only open on the PC and Windows account that imported it, so send the .cvclk file again if you move to another computer.
It talks, but there is no speech bubble
The person who made the character may have turned off Show speech bubbles before sharing it. The app tells you when you import such a character. Turn it back on with the Show speech bubbles switch in the Line Editor, or the Turn on bubbles button in Character Studio → Bubble.
My characters vanished after moving the exe
Characters and settings live in the "BUG Clicker 데이터" folder ("데이터" is Korean for "data") next to BUG-Clicker.exe. Move the exe and that folder together. If the folder next to the exe cannot be written, for example because security software blocks it, the app saves to %APPDATA%\BUG Clicker instead. On a Mac, data is in ~/Library/Application Support/BUG Clicker.
Still missing?
Older versions had bugs that hid characters, for example after saving a GIF. Update in Settings → About → Updates. If a character is still gone, make a problem report file (Settings → About → Troubleshooting) and send it to the developer.
